We had some nice days in Berlin, a lot of people enjoyed building our diy-devices Fuzz-O-Mat, Bumsss and all the others during the four workshops. Thanks to De:Bug & Radialsystem. Read more and see the film.

The De:Bug magazine wrote a workshop review about our last Fuzz-o-Mat workshop in Berlin a while ago.
„(…) Während also viele der Kolben zum ersten mal heiß werden, schaffen wir uns einen Überblick über unser Vorhaben: Der Fuzz-O-Mat sei die Todespeitsche des Herrn, die alles zerstört, schreddert und verzerrt, was man durch seine Eingeweide schickt. Manuel Richter demonstriert auch gleich ein fertiges Gerät anhand von Beats, die durch den Fuzz-O-Mat tatsächlich höllisch abgehen. (…)“

Arduino Sensor-Box Workshop Leipzig

Last night we had a really long workshop in Leipzig with Victor Mazon: We created a midi-controller / sensor box with Arduino, wich has 6 potentiometers, 6 LEDs and 6 buttons. The idea behind was to create a basic machine wich can be used „as it is“ for controlling music- or vj-software (Ableton, Logic, Resolume, Modul8 or Arkaos…) or can easily be modified (hardware and Adruino code) to include other sensors like pressure-, touch-, movement- or light-sensors.

On 2nd december we will do another Arduino workshop where we will build an 8bit music device with stepsequencer.

Bumsss Demosong

Johannes B. made a nice demo song with our drum synthesizer Bumsss. Click here for the bumsss song or listen to it on the myspace site of Johannes.

He used the trigger input of the Bumsss instead of playing it manually. The trigger signal was a sample from Ableton, the output of the Bumsss was recorded in Ableton again. On the picture you see his samples & loops from wich he made the song. What you hear in the song is 100% Bumsss.

Bumsss @ Le Space Leipzig

2 days ago we did the Bumsss at the coworking space Leipzig. It was our debut at this cool location. The next workshop will be the „Selfbuilt Midi Controller with Arduino“ in the same location. With that controller you can control Midi and OSC, all programs like Logic, Ableton, Cubase…. and also vj software like Modul8, Arkaos or Resolume. Booking and info here:

Bumsss-pictures from Berlin

Some picture from our workshop in Berlin, where 16 people created our Bumsss DrumSynth. We will be back in Berlin in early november. More info soon.

On 30.sept we´ll do the Bumsss in Leipzig. It is our debut in the location of our new cooperation partner „Le Space“, the first coworking space in Leipzig Lindenau (Tapentenwerk).
